Art After School
Tuesdays, 3:30-5:00pm
Ages 6-12 $70/members – $75/non-members (per 4 week session)
This in-depth after-school program focuses on introducing children to the world of art through BMOA’s exhibits. Students will engage in lessons designed to highlight the exhibits currently on display, obtaining a deeper understanding of the art-making process and gaining up-close and personal access to original artwork. Children’s Spring Workshop

During this jam-packed 4-day Children’s Workshop, Museum instructors will introduce children to painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, collage, and more! Each day, students will have fun learning about famous artists and art techniques, while exploring and being creative!

Second Saturday of the Month

Each Second Saturday of the Month, BMOA opens its doors to children ages 3 to 8 accompanied by an adult for an experimental hour-long art workshop! Children engage in multiple art projects, practice fine motor skills, basic color theory, painting, drawing, sculpting, observation, and exploration. These projects are designed to be replicated at home with the child’s guardians and to promote exploration of creativity.

Experience Art: Summer Program for Children

Cost ranges $70 – $110 per week
During the summer, 7-12 year old children take over the Museum, drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpting, book-making, even creating their own animations! Integrated into the curriculum are art history, fundamentals, and critical thinking while encouraging creativity and exploration. Also during the program, children are given the opportunity to tour the galleries and learn about current exhibits. This experience should not be missed.
Side by Side Camp
June 3-7, 2013
9:00-10:00AM / 10:30-11:30AM
Ages 3-6 (accompanied by an adult)
$65/members – $75/non-members
This week long day camp offers experiential art lessons specifically tailored for pre-kindergarten children. Children will participate in four art activities each day, ranging from painting and drawing to sculpture and printmaking. Each project is designed to be replicated at home to promote exploration outside of the Museum.
