I feel ya. I once read a blog where the mom wrote that at the end of the day she and her husband flop down on the couch to watch TV and celebrate a job well done, or at least a job done. Some days, that's all I can ask for!

I'll be writing about the article next week. Hopefully there are some good tips in it!

Balancing multiple kids has got to always be a challenge. I always intended to have more than one, but life (and my body) didn't working out that way for me. Of course now I walk the line of spoiling my one too much. That's a failure in itself some days!

Some days I feel like a success but most I feel like a failure. I'm married with 2 kids and a full time job. I'm successful at work but I feel like a failure at home. I don't spend enough time playing with the kids, my house isn't clean enough, I don't cook enough, hubby feels neglected, etc. If there's a way to achieve the perfect balance, I'd sure like to know the secret.

I am not a work-outside-the-home mom (I do work, just as a full-time homemaker). I still struggle with feeling like I'm being successful as a mom. There is a constant need to do better on something. If one kid's needs are met another one's may not be 100%. Good enough has become a mantra. It's difficult especially when you have perfectionist tendencies and high expectations.

A different kind of crime, but: Some troubled kids run away or are lured away from home when they are much too young and vulnerable. Madison Watson is 13 and believed to be headed to the Bakersfield area with the person that took her from her home in Elk Grove, California the night of February 5, 2011. Please, please share the missing persons poster of her with anyone in the area; she's only 5'2 and 102lbs. http://www.ncmec.org/missingkids/servlet/PubCaseSearchServlet?act=viewChildDetail&caseNum=1188599&orgPrefix=NCMC&seqNum=1&caseLang=en_US&searchLang=en_US

I would attend a meet-up, for sure. Maybe at first, moms only and then kids. Weekends are ideal since I work full-time and weeknights are hard, and someplace like a coffee shop would be good.

Sorry- you're missing out. I love Pinterest! I love that you have to be invited. It is only becoming less cool as more and more people are on it to get all of the crazy awesome ideas (I no longer get to take credit for because it was seen on Pinterest by everyone else now too). I love that I no longer have to bookmark everything all over the web and then have to search for it later; I can just pin it and go! Yes, I sew. Yes, we do fun activities just for the heck of it at our home. I don't homeschool, but I do teach my children in my home post preschool and public school. I ignore all the food recipes and beauty posts (makeup/nails/etc.). I use the clothing posts as inspiration to find my own looks within my budget.
